The Glenmarie Capital Trust (“GCT”) and the Glencap Operations Trust (“GOT”) developed from an agreement between their unitholders, Glenmarie and Capital Properties, whose members approved a strategy to acquire hotels in Australia (and, if appropriate, the Asia Pacific) in 2014, with a then mandate of A$250 million. As of March 2019, GCT-and-GOT own 1,188 rooms spread amongst 9 hotels Australia-wide.
